MANAGE YOUR DRAINAGE BETTER WITH A SOAKAWAY
If your garden or paved area becomes easily flooded in wet weather, or you've noticed nearby sewer drains can’t cope with large amounts of water during a storm, a soakaway may be the most suitable solution. Soakaways provide a way for your excess surface water to be drained away into the ground, reducing pressure on the main sewer network.
To install a soakaway, we’ll dig holes underground and fill these with rubble or crates. Water can then drain through this into the surrounding soil. You may need planning permission for the soakaway depending on the size, location and whether or not it is connected to a septic tank. Our drainage engineers will be able to advise you about this when we provide you with a free quote.
IS A SOAKAWAY SUITABLE FOR MY PROPERTY?
Most properties and ground types are able to have a soakaway installed. However, if the soil is clay-rich, and therefore not absorbent, a soakaway will not perform well. We also can’t install soakaways where the groundwater table is high. All soakaways fitted by Aquablast Drain Services will be installed to the highest standards and meet Building Regulation requirements.
