Root intrusion is a common problem with drains that lie close to planted areas and trees. In most cases roots get into drains through damaged pipe joints, cracks, fractures and holes in the pipework. If the pipework has not been too badly damaged, Aquablast Drain Services can remove the problem roots from your drain by using a root cutting tool or high pressure jet, using a specialist root cutting jet head.
After all traces of the roots have been removed, it maybe necessary to reline part or all of the affected drain to ensure that the roots do not return and damage the drain pipe again. Root ingress is often covered by property insurance and we'll be happy to help and advise you on insurance claims, just call today for further information.
